10 Reasons Why Flat Top is Awesome

My friends and I have a sort of tradition where we go out to eat at Flat Top Grill (you're welcome for the free advertising) and then go and get Gelato. This is usually followed by us walking around the downtown area looking for things to do at 10 o'clock at night which of course there never is anything because we live in a "family town" and everything closes at 9 or earlier. Therefore, we usually end up settling and go to the book store. There really isn't any rhyme or rhythm to this tradition. We just go if we haven't in a long time. Of course it's usually after a dance rehearsal, a few of us are always in dance clothes, and yes we do get a lot of weird looks.

Why Flat Top is Awesome

1.       BREAD = Love and Happiness

2.       Anyone can eat there! You can go with an Omnivore, Vegetarian, and Vegan and not have a problem.

3.       You get to make up silly names for each other.

4.       It’s fun to write down names that are REALLY difficult to pronounce and then see if your waiter/waitress attempt’s to pronounce it.

Keee- Lane? Peter-ush-eeka? Lils?

5.       If your waiter/waitress doesn’t attempt to pronounce the made up name getting a kick out of the fact that your waiter/waitress left it until the end.

6.       They have really tall chairs. This may not seem like a big deal to some people, but when you’re short like me they make you feel all tall (except when you have trouble getting off of them).

7.       You can fill up your bowl as much as you want!

8.       They give you free bread! You can ask for as much as you want!

9.       You usually don’t get weird looks from the staff when you show up in dance attire.

10.   Gelato ALWAYS comes afterwards!  (Okay, this might just be me).
