FIREBALL

In the fall and spring I participate in a weekend retreat called Operation Snowball. A couple of other girls participate/ are planning to participate in the weekend also. It is a fun, drug/alcohol free weekend where you can meet other people who are drug and alcohol free.

It is notorious for what we call warm fuzzies. When you give a warm fuzzy you give someone a well thought out compliment and then tie a string of yarn around that persons yarn necklace type thing. It makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, hence the name. We also like to give hugs.

Well, some of the non-snowballers like to poke fun at me, which I gladly accept. Snowball can seem really weird to outsiders. Even I like to poke fun at snowball every once in a while. One night two other girls and I were lying out on the pool deck looking at the stars when snowball was brought up.  We all started poking fun at it and somewhere in the mix of jokes we came up with FIREBALL (said in a deep voice)! Fireball is a club/retreat for people who don’t like people. We only like each other. When you really hate someone you give them a hot fuzzy (yes, we realize this sounds dirty). You tell the person why they are awful and then throw a hot fuzzy in their face (pretty much a firework that explodes in their face).

Fire always melts snow of course.

Fireballers talk to each other about how much they hate people, and that’s pretty much it. Also, since we were looking at the stars we decided that stars are just like big fireballs and the clouds looked like snowballs to us. Whenever the clouds covered the stars we would yell at them and say that fire melts snow, (we were really tired).

No matter how much I love Operation Snowball, Fireball will always be in my heart. J
